Now the circus has been organised by Ozdoev’s team. It’s been a long time since we saw such penalties for handball in the Champions League.

PAOK, how is that?
PAOK, led by Magomed Ozdoev (and not yet by Fedor Chalov), continued their parade of footballing oddities today, and in the second qualifying round of the Champions League they delivered a brilliant 11-metre strike against Bosnians Borac.
In the 17th minute, promising 20-year-old defender Konstantinos Koulierakis scored for the Greeks. But his joy was short-lived: just a couple of minutes later, he collided with his goalkeeper, who had already secured the ball after a header from his teammate, and took the ball away with his hands.
The referee watched the video replay and awarded a penalty which the opponent clearly converted. At the same time, PAOK captain Stefan Schwab was shown a yellow card for arguing. Isn’t that lovely?

You know what’s most interesting? In the 39th minute, Coulierakis scored a brace! Two goals and a ridiculous half-time grab by the centre-back, what do you think? Konstantinos now needs to score a couple more goals to make the match completely unforgettable.
