Old thieves. Oleinik and Kharitonov finished off their opponents in less than a round

August 27, 2023

Uncle Lyosha did it in 34 seconds.

On August 26, two veterans of mixed martial arts, Sergey Kharitonov and Alexey Oleinik, decided to remind the public about themselves. The paratrooper performed in Vladivostok at the MFP 241 modern pankration tournament, where his opponent was the Brazilian Rogers Souza. And Oleinik, in turn, made his boxing debut in a duel with Tagir Dzoblaev.

Kharitonov decided to fight again after a year and a half:

Kharitonov, 43, will fight again. Rivals – Brazilian Champion

Kharitonov’s fight took place in the afternoon. Despite the fact that our fighter was inactive for more than a year and a half, he did not receive any competition from Souza. From the first minutes of the fight, Sergey aimed for an early finish, and it all ended with a beating in the first round. In one of the episodes, Sergey seriously shook his opponent, delivering a powerful blow exactly to the chin. Kharitonov immediately went to finish Rogers off the canvas, but managed to survive. However, not for long. The Brazilian wrestler caught all the subsequent attacks of the Russian strictly with his face and after a few seconds he was again on the ground. This time, Paracaidista scored the Tiger and got the win around 3 minutes and 52 seconds.

Kharitonov’s confident and triumphant return was rewarded with the champion’s belt and the Vladivostok Governor’s Cup. Sergey has no intention of stopping. Souza became for him only a springboard for his return, and in September the Russian will fight another representative of Brazil, Thiago Cardoso, within the framework of the MMA Series tournament. A more serious level of competition is already expected here.

Later, on the night of August 27, Alexei Oleinik, known for his performances in various mixed martial arts promotions, including the UFC, made his boxing debut. The 46-year-old veteran’s opponent was Tagir Dzoblaev, for whom boxing performances are also new.

Oleinik entered boxing after a hard knockout:

Uncle Lyosha, why? The elderly Oleinik signed up for boxing “slavery”

Initially, it was stated that the fight would be eight rounds. However, Oleinik was not satisfied with this situation, and from the very beginning of the battle he began to actively put pressure on the opponent and hit Dzoblaev hard on the head. As a result, Tagir was on the canvas already 25 seconds after the start of the fight. The referee gave the fighter time to get up, but he was unable to do so. Just 34 seconds was enough for Oleinik to finish off his opponent early in his first boxing match.

Despite the triumphant start to his boxing career, Alexey also has no intention of leaving mixed martial arts: “I plan to fight in MMA later this year. I won’t say where or when. But most likely in Russia. Now we are negotiating. If we sign a contract, I’ll tell you everything. As for boxing… We need to digest it a bit now, talk about it. And then think about your next fight.”

I’m glad when upstanding veterans perform successfully and delight their fans and don’t suffer unpleasant defeats. For example, Ivan Shtyrkov yesterday had an unsuccessful fight. Well, Kharitonov and Oleinik have now received a charge of confidence and promise that they will appear in public at least one more time.
