“Pleaded guilty.” Political war breaks out in boxing: IBA expelled friends from USA.

Germany and Sweden have nothing to do with the “fraudulent organization”.
The men’s and women’s world boxing championships are over, but amateur boxing is still in the spotlight. It is about the political war that has been unleashed for several months around the oldest amateur boxing organization: the IBA. Remember that the International Boxing Association is headed by Russian Umar Kremlev, and our athletes can safely participate in all competitions with a flag and anthem. In the current political situation, this is frankly surprising and, of course, nice.

But the United States did not like this state of affairs: first they boycotted the world championships, and then sensationally left the IBA and announced the creation of their own boxing organization – World Boxing. Naturally, the Americans did not act alone: 12 countries at once announced a boycott of the tournaments led by the IBA, which dealt a heavy blow to the world championships. However, the boycotts were boycotts, but only the United States officially announced its withdrawal from the IBA, the rest decided to keep silent.
But Kremlev and his team decided to fight back. The International Boxing Association suspended the membership of seven countries at once: Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the Czech Republic, Liberia and Equatorial Guinea. If the last two were sanctioned for the banal reason of the lack of annual reports, the remaining five countries were suspended due to their participation in the new version of World Boxing. And the Czech Republic also allowed athletes from the USA to participate in their home tournament, which is now prohibited under IBA rules.
Detailed description of the US claims against the IBA:
“Anti-democracy” and the flag of Russia interfere. Why is the United States taking amateur boxing by storm?
“The membership of these national federations was suspended due to violations of the IBA bylaws, they were found guilty of the activities of a fraudulent boxing organization. These federations were given the right to be heard and respond to claims, but none categorically refused to participate in the fraudulent governing body and did not distance themselves from this organization,” says the statement on the official website of the International Association of Boxing.
By the way, athletes from countries suspended from the IBA can continue to participate in all competitions, but only under a neutral flag. However, “rogue states” can easily return: for this, one must officially refuse membership in “Worldboxing”, apologize to the IBA and guarantee the refusal to participate in such unrecognized organizations. But something tells me: no one is going back to the International Boxing Association. The political war continues, which will not benefit anyone.
