There is a crisis at PSG: three defeats, all important, all of the main rivals.
In the French Cup in Marseille (1:2), in the Monaco championship (1:3), and in Bayern’s most important tournament (0:1), and at home.
After losing the Champions League, Mbappé, who is increasingly taking the lead, gave a fiery speech in the locker room. In particular, there were words that now we must strictly observe the regime, get enough sleep to move to Bayern.
And that same night, Neymar signed up for a poker tournament that ended after midnight. And then around three in the morning he was seen with some friends having dinner at McDonald’s. The reaction of the fans and, of course, of Mbappé before this trick is not difficult to guess.
In connection with all of the above, the match with Lille stood out. A very strong opponent, also one of the main ones. After all, it was Lille in the 2020/21 season that broke the hegemony of Paris and took the league title from them.
And one more circumstance: the game is at home, in front of their fans. This is another argument that needs to be won.
The Parisians started remarkably: Mbappé and Neymar already had a solid start in the 17th minute. A goal is especially important for the Brazilian, a kind of apology for his late-night adventures.
However, after that, the Parisians somehow slowed down sharply, Lille began to disturb their gates more and more often. In the 24th minute, Diakite scored a beautiful header.
Then there were a couple of more unpleasant moments at the gates of Donnarumma, but it passed.
In the 50th minute, Neymar falls and, as always, writhes in pain. It seemed that this was another mini-concert by the Brazilian. But no, not a concert – Neymar is taken away on a stretcher. It is not yet clear how serious the injury is in light of the second leg in Munich.
And Lille attacks more and more. For some reason, Verratti tugs at David’s shirt in his penalty area. He himself realizes the penalty – 2:2.
And soon the guests come forward – what an embarrassment in front of your audience!
It was interesting to watch Messi, Leo put in another training session on the go healthy. We have already seen it in the Reims game. It seems that the best player in the last World Cup in Ligue 1 does not excite anything.
The case could and should have ended in such a match for PSG with a defeat, if it were not for the genius of Mbappé: Killian equalized in the 87th minute. They entrusted him with a free kick in the 95th minute, and Leo put the ball into the bottom corner. So Paris got a victory that was not deserved at all.
