“Soviet Sport” and the international festival of student e-sports and science on computer sports “Battle for Science – 2023” signed a collaboration agreement.
Sovsport will cover a series of international e-sports tournaments and scientific and technical conferences on digital sports, which will be attended by foreign representatives from BRICS and SCO countries.
Editor-in-chief and general director of Soviet Sports, Evgeniy Slyusarenko:
“For most of the hundred years of our project’s existence, eSports as a sport did not exist in nature. “Soviet Sport” wrote about football, hockey, fencing and even hang gliding. The time has come for electronic sports, especially since our country became the first in the world to recognize it as a full-fledged sport. In addition, there is active talk of including it in the Olympic Games program. Therefore, the association of “Soviet Sport” with important events in the world of esports, such as the “Battle for Science”, is a more than logical step on our part. We are sure that these projects are the future of world sport.”
Organizer of the international festival of student e-sports and computer sports science Maria Butova:
“I am glad that a publication with such a track record covers our event. The goals of the festival are to expand scientific cooperation between students and young scientists from friendly countries of Russia, develop computer sports science, and popularize science and national achievements.”
