Moscow “Spartak” captain Georgy Jikia was suspended for two matches for insulting the referee during the match of the 30th round of the RPL with the “Wings of the Soviets”.
The decision was made at a meeting of the Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union.
The meeting was attended by Jikia, who, according to FTC head Artur Grigoryants, admitted to saying these words to the judge.
In addition to a two-match suspension, the player was also fined 250,000 rubles. At the same time, it was noted that Jikia will miss one game and that the suspension for the second game of the championship will be conditional.
In the final round match, Spartak lost to Krylya Sovetov with a score of 0:1.
