On September 11, the KHL regular season continued with five games. Let’s summarize the games.
For the Omsk team everything went wrong just nine seconds after the start of the match. In the first shift, Avangard star forward Reed Boucher lost two teeth. The American forward was hit in the face with a stick and was never able to return to the ice. Without him, the Omsk team did not take advantage of several attempts during the power play, for which it was more than punished by Amur, angry after a big defeat in Togliatti.
In the 20th minute, Dmitry Shevchenko, taking advantage of a pass from Alexander Khokhlachev, put Amur ahead. In the 26th minute, Dmitry Shevchenko scored a double. Before the start of the KHL regular championship match between Salavat Yulaev and Metallurg, a difficult, but necessary and very important ceremony was held in Ufa in memory of Rodion Amirov, who died of a brain tumor. I still can’t believe that such a young and talented boy passed away prematurely, but, unfortunately, this terrible disease does not spare anyone.
As for the match, in the 15th minute Nikita Grebenkin put the Magnitogorsk team ahead. Alexey Maklyukov and Danil Gololobov received points for assists. A minute and a half later, Luke Johnson doubled Metallurg’s lead. For the hockey player, this goal was the first in the new club. Egor Korobkin and Semyon Koshelev scored points for effective passing. In the 38th minute, Vyacheslav Leshchenko pulled one back. Alexander Sharov and Vladislav Efremov received points for assists. Thanks to this victory, Metallurg scored nine points and became the sole leader of the championship.

The result of the most ineffective match of the day was decided by just one goal. In the ninth minute, Bulat Shafigullin put the Nizhnekamsk team ahead. Evgeniy Mityakin and Lukasz Klok received points for assists. Goalkeeper Emil Garipov scored the shutout.

“Dynamo” Moscow achieved a very resounding victory over “Barys”, ultimately managing to save the truly lost match thanks to the perfect conversion of the majority. The start of the match was unfortunate for Alexei Kudashov’s team. In the 12th minute, Pontus Oberg, after an impressive solo pass, achieved the numerical majority and put the Kazakh team ahead. But already in the 16th minute Eric O’Dell equalized the score. Cedric Paquette and Nikita Gusev received points for assists.
In the second half, in the 29th minute of the match, Arkady Shestakov put Barys ahead. Roman Starchenko and Samat Daniyar scored points off assists.
