President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RFT), Shamil Tarpishchev, believes that international federations should prioritize the rights of athletes in the issue of admission to the Olympic Games.
“But even in our tennis nothing is clear yet. The decision corresponds to the International Tennis Federation (ITF), and will be after the French Open. We have to wait, but we are in contact with the ITF and continue to work with them,” TASS quotes Tarpishchev.
Previously Vladimir Putin said that it is necessary to be guided by the interests of athletes, the decision is his.
