Evgeny Timkin was unable to teach Charles Robinson a lesson and Salavat lost in Chelyabinsk.
After the last match between Traktor and Salavat Yulaev in Ufa, few people had doubts that the Yulaevites would try to take revenge on the American Charles Robinson for hitting the captain of the Bashkortostan club, Grigory Panin, in the face. By the way, KHL SDK did not impose a single match disqualification on the Chelyabinsk hockey player, limiting itself to a fine. The presence of the great striker Evgeniy Timkin in the invited lineup for the third match only confirmed the speculation about the upcoming battle. And it happened!
In the sixth minute of the second half, Panin’s attacker from the last game, Robinson, 32, and Timkin, 33, engaged in a fistfight to the delight of the crowd. They both immediately took off their gloves and had a fair fight in which there was no clear winner. Eugene failed to teach Charles a proper lesson.

As a result of the fight, both hockey players exchanged several blows, but remained on the ice. The referees sanctioned both players with a hefty five-minute penalty. The boys let off some steam and added additional emotions to their teams. This is what a true playoff series should be like.
As for the result itself, the score of the match was opened by Traktor forward Sergei Telegin in the 27th second. However, five minutes later the Ufa team responded with a goal from Alexander Khmelevski. In the middle of the same twenty minutes, Semyon Der-Arguchintsev again put the Chelyabinsk team ahead, and Vladimir Tkachev reinforced the lead a few minutes later by 3:1. In the middle of the match, Salavat’s hockey players managed to reduce the gap thanks to Ivan Drozdov’s goal. The final attack in the last minutes of the match with an empty goal did not bring success to Salavat Yulaev, the Chelyabinsk team won (3-2) and took the lead in the series (2-1).
But judging by the heat and tension, this confrontation will be long. Both teams prepared well and took advantage of each other’s strengths. The result of each match will be decided by the small details, as well as the performance of the goalkeepers.
