From 1975 to 1985, Terim played as a defender and captain for his home country. His career as a footballer’s coach was not easy. Despite his extraordinary character and professionalism, for a long time he could not take Galatasaray to a new sporting level.
However, Terim’s efforts and perseverance paid off: as a coach, he won eight victories in the Turkish championship. Which made him the country’s absolute record holder. By the way, at the time of his career, Fatih amazed the public with his acting talent. Once, during a match with the Italian national team, Terim appeared dressed as a Sicilian gangster, which, to put it mildly, scared the uninformed public.
