Now Izidor is going through a period of adaptation to the new team and partners, former Zenit player Alexei Gasilin told a Soviet sports correspondent in a conversation about the newcomer from St. Petersburg.
“Izidor is a player of a good level, he played well at Lokomotiv, yes, there was an injury, he played more often as a wild card, but he still scored. In his debut match with Zenit in the Championship he was able to score. I think he is now going through a period of adaptation to the new team and partners. The fact that he has a certain level of skill is undeniable. I think that in a couple of games Izidor will be one of the key figures of the St. Petersburg attack,” Gasilin said.
Previously, Gasilin evaluated the last match between Zenit and Akhmat, which ended in a penalty shootout with a score of 4-2 in favor of St. Petersburg.
