The legend of the past shines again for CSKA! Tosic scored and hinted at a new contract. Video

CSKA recently defeated the Serbian FNL champions OFK Belgrade (4-0). The next opponent in the Brotherhood Cup had much more status: Serbia’s second club and a participant in the Champions League qualification, Partizan. But they also lost in a devastating way.

The outcome of the tournament was decided yesterday: Dynamo also beat OFK (2-0) and gave Moscow the victory over Belgrade in the overall standings. But in addition to the tacit one, two more intrigues arose: about which team is the best in the cup. To become one, CSKA needed to score two points, i.e. at least draw and win on penalties.

First of all, Krasic, who provided the assist, was replaced on the bench by another legendary Serbian army – Tosic. Only Milos is already 39 years old and stopped playing football in 2018. Zoran is 37 years old and his career is not over yet, although he is in temporary free agent status. So one could count on him to run for more than the symbolic five minutes.

Krasic proved that he is still in good shape:

Secondly, it was Marko Nikolic who led Partizan to the last championship in its history. By the way, with 19-year-old Nikola Milenkovic (now at Fiorentina) and 17-year-old Dusan Vlahovic (Juventus). Seven years have passed since then, and in all this time there is no one equal to Red Star in Serbia. Of the heroes of that team, only a couple of people remain, but the coach’s connection with Partizan is still strong. The expert even admitted that she greatly influenced his desire to manage CSKA.

Nikolic left former Loko player Rifat Zhemaletdinov on the bench, who was undergoing tests; in previous matches he had been a bit heavy and clearly not in top form. Milan Gajic was also left on the bench, although the Serb left OFK in the first minutes. The core turned out to be: Akinfeev, Moses, Rocha, Diveev, Kelven, Krugovoy, Zdelar, Oblyakov, Faizullaev, Chalov and Musaev.

It was Tamerlan who opened the scoring, and already in the third minute. Fayzullaev sent the ball to the far post and Yong Zhong Ko cleared it unsuccessfully, straight to Musaev, who fired in at exactly nine.

Despite the good start, there were few chances in the first half. Chalov missed the most obvious one, even two: he deflected Krugovoy’s cross under the crossbar, saw the ball fly back to him after a brave save by the goalkeeper and his shot missed the empty far corner. Partizan also missed: Antic got his foot under the foul and shot against the post, and Nikolic’s shot was saved by Rocha.

It is worth noting the progress of the military team under the new coach. So far, this is only the beginning of Nikolic’s journey to CSKA, but it is already noticeable how the team is restructuring from a super-cautious game under Vladimir Fedotov to a more daring one. There are quite a few positional attacks and their variety. However, it is worth keeping in mind the friendly nature of the tournament. It remains to be seen how the red-and-blues will behave in the RPL, where the importance of the result will be on a completely different level.

I was also pleased by the friendly atmosphere in the stands. It is precisely because of this wonderful environment that Serbian teams are invited to Russia. Well, because they kick the ball well, of course.

I was pleased with the fraternal atmosphere in the stands.

After the break, Zhemaletdinov came on for Faizullaev. And that’s how the early goal came with Musaev’s involvement! Tamerlan, without any resistance, advanced from the left flank and turned towards the far corner. Stevanovic deflected the ball and Kelven shot towards the goal.

In the 56th minute, Partizan made a triple substitution and Bibras Natkho appeared on the pitch. Judging by the reaction of the stands, the army fans clearly missed him. And so did Torop, who soon replaced Akinfeev and played for the first time since a serious injury in the RPL Path Cup final with Zenit.

Chalov showed his cool style by juggling the ball in the style of Yuri Zhirkov. And again he failed to realize the concrete opportunity: he nodded after Musaev’s serve and almost hit the right corner.

Nikolic let Gaich off the hook for 20 minutes and Bistrovich for 15 minutes. And Tosic – only eight. Yes, on his back there was not a white number, like everyone else, but a gold one. But it’s sad that he was given so little time. And yet that was enough for Zoran! Zhemaletdinov sped down the left flank and passed the ball to Chalov inside the penalty area. He could have shot himself, but he was not greedy and rolled it to the right for the Serbian veteran, who put the ball into the goal and sent the crowd into raptures.

CSKA never conceded a goal in two matches against the Serbs and scored seven times. The season has had a promising start. In addition, two legends were noticed: an assist from Krasic, a goal from Tosic. It would be nice if the army team signed the second one for a year. Obviously, he will not ask for a high salary, but it will bring benefits, if not on the field, then in the team and in the media. Ending his career in a club where he is a legend, with the help of a compatriot, is something one can only dream of.

Other famous footballers are also unemployed:

These RPL players woke up today unemployed. From famous families, not only Dzyuba.
