The press service of the Russian Chess Federation (RCF) announced that the organization officially became part of the Asian Chess Federation (ACF).
It should be noted that this decision was made on Tuesday, February 28 in Abu Dhabi during the ACF General Assembly. According to the source, 29 delegates voted for the entry of the FSR, 1 against, 6 abstained. The transition to the Asian Federation will take place on May 1, 2023.
We add that the FSR became the first Russian sports federation to move from Europe to Asia.
