On December 14, Canadian Georges St-Pierre will perform at the Fight Pass Invitational grappling tournament in Las Vegas (USA).
Media are reporting that former MMA fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, who has repeatedly stated that he would like to face Saint-Pierre in the Octagon, could become a rival for the Canadian.
UFC head Dana White made no secret that he was interested in making this fight, but the official noted that negotiations have not yet begun.
“I am going to enter the world of wrestling in a big way. We will have a big announcement on this. Can Khabib Nurmagomedov become St-Pierre’s opponent? I’m not saying we’re already working on this fight, but I’d love to put it together,” White quotes MMA Junkie.
Khabib retired from MMA in March 2021. On account of his 29 fights and 29 wins. He was the UFC lightweight champion. Saint-Pierre retired in February 2019. He has 26 wins and 2 losses. He held the UFC welterweight and middleweight titles.
