The opponent of Russian chess player Alexandra Goryachkina has been determined in the World Cup final.
Bulgaria’s Nurgyul Salimova and Ukraine’s Anna Muzychuk met in the semifinal match. The representative of Bulgaria won the tiebreaker.
In the final of the tournament, Salimova will play Goryachkina. Previously, Alexandra defeated Chinese woman Tan Zhongyi. The first game of the final is scheduled for August 19.
For Goryachkina, this World Cup final will be the second in her career. In 2021, she lost to her compatriot Alexandra Kosteniuk.
