UEFA apologized for the scandal with the Ukrainian flag in the Champions League final and blamed the Turkish policeman

UEFA has apologized for the incident that occurred before the Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter (1-0).

A video has appeared on the Internet of how a fan of the English team is not allowed to enter the Turkish Istanbul stadium with the Ukrainian flag.

“It was a personal initiative of one of the security agents. When the Turkish police chief was informed, he immediately asked for the flag to be returned to him, which they can see if they have access to the full video,” a UEFA spokesperson was quoted as saying by The Guardian.

The organization also added that they are not opposed to hanging Ukrainian flags in any stadium.
