Juventus Turin may be kicked out of European competition for violating financial rules, Italian media report.
According to the source, UEFA is considering additional sanctions for the Italian club. In 2021, Juventus paid 3.5 million euros in fines for failing to comply with the rules of financial fair play. The amount of the fine could increase up to 23 million if new cases of economic infractions are accredited.
Also, UEFA does not rule out a suspension of participation in European competitions, and the ban will come into force from the moment the club enters the eurozone.
Earlier, the Italian Football Federation withdrew 15 points from Juventus for financial violations. The club fell from third place to tenth in the Italian championship, and now entering the European competition seems problematic.
