The beautiful Angel Reese is another star after Kaitlyn Clark who makes the WNBA a must-follow for many people.
Something special happened in the WNBA over the past week. Indiana guard Caitlin Clark took things to the next level by becoming the first freshman to record a triple-double. But that was just the beginning. Following her, Chicago’s Angel Reese not only broke Candace Parker’s double-double record, but raised the bar even higher, recording her 13th consecutive double-double in the game against Seattle.
Reese and Clarke showdown:
Lifelong rivalry. The WNBA superstar has a strong competitor
Reese didn’t hesitate, starting the meeting with the clear intention of making history. His first shot from mid-range after bouncing off the opposing backboard opened the scoring in the first quarter. By the third quarter, he was already in double-digit rebounds, and a shot off a rebound midway through the same period gave him a new record for consecutive double-doubles.
Although Chicago lost the game, Reese had an outstanding game, scoring 17 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in 40 minutes. The young basketball player’s achievements earned her a place in WNBA history, allowing her to surpass the legendary Candice Parker, known for her performances at UMMC, where she became a five-time Russian champion. Reese’s impressive rebounding skills and consistent scoring earned her an invitation to the All-Star Game on July 20.

Angel is averaging 14.1 points, 11.9 rebounds and 1.5 steals this season. If she keeps up this pace, she could become the first player in league history to finish the season with those numbers. She also reached 250 points, 200 rebounds and 30 steals, the fastest number since 1999.
Reese grabbed 237 rebounds in her first 20 career games. That’s pretty impressive, especially when compared to Tina Charles, who had 247 rebounds in 2010, and Yolanda Griffith, who had 246 rebounds in 1999. Both made the All-Star team in their first seasons, indicating that Angel is playing at a remarkable level and has great potential.
