The Defense Minister of Poland, Mariusz Blaszczak, made an announcement on Twitter on the issue of Germany’s refusal to transfer Patriot missile defense systems to Ukraine.
According to him, the refusal of the German Ministry of Defense to support Kyiv disappointed him. The Minister noted that the deployment of systems would secure the Poles and Ukrainians in the west.
“We are thus starting to work agreements on the deployment of launchers in Poland and their connection to our control system,” he added.
Reuters, citing a representative of the German Cabinet, reported that Germany is considering supplying Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine. However, Germany’s Defense Minister, Christina Lambrecht, said that she could not allow this to happen as these complexes are part of NATO’s integrated air defense system.
