Ferrovial was awarded this Tuesday the construction of a 700-meter viaduct over the Ebro River through which the platform of the Zaragoza-Pamplona high-speed line will pass, for an import of 58.8 million euros. The work is expected to last for 3 and a half years, as explained by the group chaired by Rafael del Pino in a statement.
This tender is part of the future Cantabrian-Mediterranean rail corridor, which will connect the Mediterranean area with the Atlantic coast, allowing the connection between these two coastal areas without the need to cross the center of the peninsula.
The development of the viaduct, 14 meters wide, will take place on land located in the municipalities of Valtierra and Castejón, in Navarra. and will be compatible with the European rail network.

The construction of the viaduct, as well as the connection platform with the Zaragoza-Pamplona line in its Castejón-Comarca de Pamplona section, has been planned in coordination with the Foral Government of Navarra, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food and Environment, the municipalities of Valtierra and Castejón, Red Electrica and companies with facilities located in the area.
