Correos has published this Wednesday in which it defends wanting to stabilize on the margins of debates that it believes “intend to undermine the communicated institutions and public services of the country”, after the president of the PP and candidate for the next general elections, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has addressed the company workers directly in a speech. Feijóo has asked the postmen to work “morning, day and night” to deliver the vote by mail “independently of their bosses”, ensuring that he will pay them overtime if he finally governs.
However, Correos defends that it already has all the necessary budget items to pay all the remuneration items related to the 23J general elections. “These are already approved and will be paid to the corresponding payroll,” the company has assured. In addition, Correos has stated that the “professionalism of the more than 45,000 employees is beyond any doubt”, assuring that they carry out their work “with pride and dedication” and knowing the process and the obligations that it entails.

Correos recalls that it is a public company with 307 years of history and that, during all its years of activity and at all stages, “it has demonstrated its commitment to Spanish society by providing those public services that have been entrusted to it efficiently and for the benefit of citizenship”.
