Universal’s YouTube channel has released the trailer for The River Wild. The film starred Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester, Adam Brody and Taran Killam, who played American Crime Story. The thriller Ben Ketai will be released on August 1.
The film tells a story of survival and mistrust. “Wild River” will be a rethinking of the 1994 film of the same name with Meryl Streep and Kevin Bacon. The original was about a family who go on a journey into the wilderness and face persecution from violent criminals. The new movie will focus on the sister and brother, as well as their childhood friend.
According to the plot, the characters will go on a rafting tour together with two other tourists. An exciting adventure soon turns to disaster when the travelers find themselves stranded in the middle of stormy rapids. The group will begin a fight for survival, but they will realize that there is someone among them who would like to hide shocking secrets at all costs. The heroes will have to face their deepest fears: the fear of deception and death in nature.
