He recalled that the accident can be settled according to the Europrotocol if only two cars collided, only these were damaged, none of the passengers were injured and both drivers had OSAGO issued. In all cases, an accident notice must be issued in paper or electronic format, signed by both drivers, the insurance company does not have another document regarding an accident.
In addition, if the drivers have disagreements recorded in the notice, the owner of the injured car can receive up to 100 thousand rubles of insurance compensation only if he has photographed the data of the accident. This can be done using one of the applications: “OSAGO Assistant”, “Accident. Europrotocol”, “Gosuslugi Avto”. Or with the help of an application from an insurance company that has integrated the SDK module of the “Europrotocol Online Registration” service into its application and allows taking a photo of an accident in it. If there are no disagreements and photo fixation is carried out, then the compensation limit coincides with the compensation limit for causing property damage under OSAGO and amounts to 400 thousand rubles.
Through the OSAGO Assistant application and the applications of insurance companies that have integrated the SDK module of this service into their applications, an electronic claim notification can be issued.
The owner of a car who had an accident in accordance with the Europrotocol will be able to submit an application for insurance compensation to his insurer online, as well as all other documents necessary to settle the loss through his personal account in the State Services. .
It will form an application for compensation for losses, and the documents provided for by the OSAGO Rules are attached in the form of electronic copies. Data about the car and the owner of the car will be automatically extracted from the citizen’s profile. If the necessary documents are not attached, the insurer will immediately notify the applicant what else must be attached to settle the losses.
After submitting all the necessary documents, the insurer arranges an inspection of the victim’s car and, if necessary, the culprit of the accident. Then the insurer will make the insurance compensation in the form of repair or cash payment.
If the car owner prefers to settle the loss of OSAGO in the traditional way by visiting the office of the insurance company, then this opportunity will remain for him.
