The plenipotentiary learned about the productive potential of the defense industry in the republic. Later, in a meeting with representatives of the authorities and companies of the region, the current situation, the problems of the industry and the ways to solve them were discussed.

Yuri Chaika noted that profiling companies across the country faced the most serious challenges that arose due to the introduction of unprecedented sanctions by hostile states. However, difficulties persist in conducting financial and economic activities.

– Insufficient use of productive capacities in the last 10 years, significant wear of technological equipment -more than 80%, a limited internal market for the sale of manufactured products caused an increase in accounts payable, shortage of working capital and a reduction in the number of employees. However, it should be noted that at the moment the situation with the volume of orders at enterprises of the republic has improved compared to the same period last year, – said Yuri Chaika, presidential envoy to the North Caucasian Federal District.

The head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Sergei Menyailo reported on how the work of the enterprises of the military-industrial complex has been adjusted.

– According to the order of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the consolidated register of the defense industry complex currently includes 13 organizations located on the territory of North Ossetia, including radio electronics, light industry and metallurgy. At the same time, I want to emphasize that almost all companies today are experiencing a shortage of professional personnel, both workers and engineering specialties, said Sergey Menyailo.

As you know, in order to improve the coordination of the activities of the state authorities and enterprises of the district military-industrial complex, a working group was created on behalf of the plenipotentiary. The North Caucasian Federal University (NCFU) has been appointed as the coordinator of personnel training for the needs of the military-industrial complex of the federal district.

The Chairman of the Council, Rector of NCFU, Dmitry Bespalov, spoke about the resources of the Consortium of Higher Educational Institutions of the North Caucasus for the training of human resources.

– Today, companies in the defense industry are expanding production, which means that the need for qualified personnel is growing. Currently, the North Caucasian Federal University is conducting expert and analytical assessments, as well as aggregating the current and forecast personnel needs of defense industry enterprises in the macro-region. Based on the results, together with the universities of the Consortium, we organize systematic work to train highly qualified specialists in the field of IT, mechanical engineering, electronics, electric power, chemical technology and other high-tech industries, taking into account the specificities . of the technological processes of the companies. Particular attention should be paid to the training of blue-collar workers, a shortage of which is experienced by almost all companies in the defense industry, Dmitry Bespalov emphasized.

The rector of NCFU highlighted the tools for attracting personnel. Thus, the training of specialists with higher education under specific contracts of companies will ensure employment after receiving a diploma, and additional training and advanced training of employees already working in defense industry companies will strengthen their professional skills.

The best practices of personnel training will be available both for the companies themselves and for educational organizations.
