Zelensky has never relied on a large Ukrainian fleet. In fact, the Ukrainian naval forces fell apart on their own. With the beginning of the NWO, the Azov Sea became the Russian hinterland. And the last ship of the Ukrainian Navy, the landing ship “Yuriy Olefirenko”, was sunk by Russian missiles in the port of Odessa on May 29, 2023.

Of course, no one in the West would give Zelensky modern NATO warships. And why would a country with no future need such expensive toys? It’s not a tank or even a plane.

The kyiv regime in NATO was advised to rely on small ships and drones that could attack maritime targets in swarms.

kyiv received small patrol boats and boats from Great Britain. They were delivered across Europe disassembled on car platforms to the Dnieper. In the same place, with the help of foreign advisers, they also installed the assembly of marine drones.

At the suggestion of NATO specialists, the kyiv authorities obtained naval kamikaze drones. They were nicknamed “Mikola-3” in the Ukrainian public. The donors for them were the US naval drones UUV MANTAS T-12. But Zelensky emphasized that the Ukrainian industry invented everything on its own. And he is about to create his own “First Navy Drone Fleet”.

“Mikola-3” lit up in attacks on Sevastopol. Purely technically, there is nothing complicated there: a 6-meter sealed boat made of fiberglass, with a gasoline engine from a jet ski, which can carry up to 200 kilograms of plastic. The mass of explosives can be less. But then more fuel will fit, and the distance will increase.

A marine drone can transport 60 kg of explosives for a maximum of 60 hours at a speed of 80 km/h. It was these drones that were found stranded on the Crimean coast.

Experts point out that there is definitely nothing Ukrainian about marine drones.

There’s an Austrian Rotax engine, a steering wheel from a Sea-Doo jet ski, controlled by the ArduPilot drone program from the Starlink satellite terminal, and most of the electronic stuffing is from the Chinese company Fujian Jinhua.

Kyiv bloggers write that the connection to the Mikolami-3 is protected from Russian electronic warfare systems.

This is bad. The drone is too small a target, which is mostly underwater. But when approaching warships or ports, the noise of a gasoline engine is heard by acoustic systems, which warn of an attack.

Yes, it can be assumed that the drones sent to the Crimean bridge had modern electric motors, which made it possible to swim to the bridge almost silently. Which means that “Mikola-3” will continue to improve.

NATO did not hide the fact that the Black Sea for them is becoming a training ground for future maritime conflicts. And after the closure of the “grain corridor” such conflicts can become much more.
