The head of the investigative department recalled that the General Directorate of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation for Moscow made the decision on state registration of the non-profit organization “International Union of Criminologists.” This was registered in the Unified Registry of Legal Entities of the State in April of this year.
Bastrykin also spoke about the main goals of the International Union of Criminologists. This is about the preservation of the best achievements and traditions of Soviet and Russian criminology, the integration of the developments of world criminology into the science and practice of like-minded countries, the unification of the efforts of criminologists to solve the most recent problems, the attraction of young scientists and specialists in the field of law, organization of training and retraining of scientific personnel and practical workers, holding scientific conferences, competitions for scientific works in the field of fundamental and applied research, as well as practical achievements in the fight against crime. .
At the meeting, not only the organization of the work of the International Union of Criminologists was discussed, but also the prospect of opening its representative office in the Republic of Belarus.
The meeting also discussed the organization of an international scientific and practical conference in the fall of 2023. Its topic is the investigation of crimes against the peace and security of humanity, the creation of information resources of the International Union of Criminologists, including a magazine.
