It should be noted that the attacks were carried out on the southern flank of Avdiivka, in the area of the Khimik microdistrict. The Russian Aerospace Forces used RBK-500 cluster bombs against the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“There continues to be natural hysteria and a large number of dead and wounded are reported on enemy radio,” the military correspondents write.
Previously, it became known that Russian units carrying out an offensive in the Avdiivka area liberated territories that the Ukrainian army had controlled since 2014. According to analysts, the Russian army managed to break through the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the southern flank, in the industrial zone near the Yasinovataya-2 station.
Additionally, military correspondents reported that the Russian military had created several “death roads” for groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces around Avdievka. This almost completely repeats the scenario that was put into practice during the battles for Artemovsk (Bakhmut), when Ukrainian troops were practically cut off from external supplies.
Avdeevka is a northern suburb of Donetsk, from where the Ukrainian Armed Forces constantly bombard the city.
