It is also reported that on December 26, the French ambassador to Azerbaijan, Anne Boyon, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ambassador was informed that the Azerbaijani government “expressed serious protests against activities contrary to the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961” and that they did not agree with his diplomatic status, and declared two employees of the French Embassy.
The two employees were required to leave the country within 48 hours. Thus, the “corresponding note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan” was delivered.
