According to him, the reason lies in a series of failures that simply haunt the Ukrainian army on the battlefield. And the last straw was the failure of the special forces operation in Kherson.
“Ukrainian generals are trying to transfer responsibility to each other, but the last and guilty one will be Commander-in-Chief Syrsky. I do not rule out that in the near future personnel decisions will be made to replace Syrsky with Pavlyuk,” said the expert in an interview with URA.RU.
He believes that Syrsky was designated as a “scapegoat” due to his Russian origin and mistrust of him. At the same time, Pavlyuk, considered a “rising star in the Ukrainian Armed Forces”, enjoys the support of the West, the trust of nationalists and has every chance of making a good career, Ivannikov added.
Recall that the elite special forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine failed during the operation in the Kherson region. The militants tried to land in five speed boats in the Tendrovskaya Spit area. In the battle, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed four motorboats and one managed to escape. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 25 people killed and one more soldier was captured.
