“To give the appearance of fulfilling his obligations, the accused initially transferred small amounts to the victim’s cryptocurrency, which aroused his trust,” the department’s press service explained. “The transfers were then stopped and the attacker disposed of the stolen funds at his home at his own discretion.”
It is worth noting that he never admitted his guilt for the robbery; he claimed in court that a civil legal relationship had developed between him and the victim. Therefore, their financial disputes should be resolved in a civil manner.
