According to the governor of the Jewish Autonomous Region, Rostislav Goldstein, maternity capital could previously be spent on improving living conditions, education or buying a car for a family with a disabled child.
An additional support measure approved by the MPs now includes paid treatment. The family will be able to use the maternity capital to pay for medical services or related expenses, for example, travel to the place of treatment or payment for accommodation for a companion.
The final list is still in the process of being approved.
