Tomorrow, all Angel Cakes restaurants in Russia and the UAE will celebrate their fifth birthday. The menu will include a special dessert – a mini honey cake in the shape of a wing, decorated with fresh strawberries. In honour of the article that started the history of the Russian clothing brand Monochrome, Coffeemania has launched a dessert of the same name in the form of a sweatshirt. Inside it is an airy coconut mousse filled with raspberries, strawberries and lychees. Fifty of them will come with a surprise: if you find a green candy, you will receive a limited edition T-shirt as a gift. You can try the new product until August 13 in all the chain’s restaurants in the city.

For the breakfast menu, chef Renat Tsaritsansky not only took up familiar themes, but also came up with new combinations. I added egg, truffle and sabayon to the French potato gratin, and salmon and avocado to the Indian roti. The red caviar sandwich is now served on Italian ciabatta with Lebanese labneh. The menu also includes two ready-made breakfasts. The first contains soft-boiled egg, tartine, maasdam and roast beef with vitello-tonnato sauce. And the second is more dense and includes a fried egg from two eggs, fried turkey thigh ham, basil cream, a salad of sprouted mung beans, peas and cucumber and Kenyan beans dressed with sabayon sauce. For dessert, we recommend paying attention to chocolate cookies with vanilla cream, served with a glass of milk, just like in childhood.

In honor of Peru’s traditional Pisco Sour Day celebrations, the bar team has created three cocktails. The Classic Pisco Sour is made with pisco-kebrant, lime, protein, and bitters. Alma de Manzanilla is a sour-style mix with pisco, ume plum-flavored chukhay, and chamomile infusion. The third cocktail, Uva Tiernas, features lemon verbena pisco, cordial, hibiscus grapes, and calamansi. A tasting set is also available upon request, including a basic pisco-quebranta, a bright, floral torontel, and a strong mosto verde. The menu is available until July 28.

Pastry chef Diana Kitayeva was inspired by seasonal flowers and applied them to cakes as decorations. You can order desserts with sprigs of wildflowers, elegant dried flowers, macaroon crowns and golden touches, as well as creamy graphic textures in pastel shades and, of course, fresh berries. At the same time, the seasonal flavours of Shu cakes have returned to the shop window in two variations: with delicate strawberry cream and with passion fruit puree.

The new menu was developed jointly with the culinary studio Applied Ingredients: the brand’s chef Ivan Dubkov (KM20, Richter) and chef Stanislav Shurgalin (Stories). The concept is based on “bistronomy” (a concept derived from the combination of the words bistro and gastronomy). It combines first-class cuisine with casual service and atmosphere. The menu consists of about forty options: the cold appetizer section is complemented by seasonal specialties in the form of berry gazpacho with strawberry tartare and raw tomato with sheep’s cheese and tarragon butter. The hot appetizer menu includes broccoli fillet and eggplant escalope, as well as scallops served with smoked sweet potatoes and morels. For lovers of cold soups, the chefs prepared okroshka with matsoni and sorrel, as well as gazpacho with strawberry tartare. For the main course, we recommend a burger with crab, mango aioli and green apple, and instead of the traditional fries, fresh vegetables with blue cheese sauce. And for dessert, look for a warm cake with rhubarb, raspberries and sparkling wine jelly.
