“The man died from an epileptic seizure,” the post said.
The death, according to available information, occurred at the distribution centre where recruits arrive before being sent to the troops.
Earlier it was reported that at the Zvyagel territorial recruiting centre (the Ukrainian analogue of the military commissariat) in the Zhytomyr region, a conscript suffered an epileptic seizure. A few days later the man died in hospital.
The deceased’s relatives, in turn, said that the deceased actually suffered from epilepsy and was therefore not required to perform military service.
Epilepsy is a neurological disease whose characteristic symptom is the predisposition to suffer seizures (epileptic crises).
