He noted that Russia has no one to negotiate with in Europe and Ukraine. “Therefore, in fact, only the US State Department determines foreign financial and military policy,” the politician said in an interview with TASS.
The agency’s interlocutor believes that the United States will be interested in these negotiations, as the continuation of the Ukrainian conflict is no longer profitable for them.
According to Stepashin, the United States has already received everything it could get: it has promoted its defense industry. At the same time, the former prime minister recalled that the United States is backed by the dollar, which can collapse overnight, and Washington understands this very well.
Stepashin added that Russia needs to maintain a dialogue on Ukraine with those who “ordered the music and are paying for it.”
Earlier, Stepashin said that Russia, after the Northern Military District, will be a completely new country with a new worldview.
