The flared silhouette is the basis of every product – on a jacket, on capri pants, and even on a T-shirt. This leitmotif limits Anna on the one hand, and on the other, it sets a framework within which creating, as she herself shared, is both easier and more interesting. Another value and at the same time an artificial limiter is the greatest possible amount of manual work. “Even a seemingly simple T-shirt is made of such a complex fabric (hemp, BURO notes) that every production curses me, telling me not to present ‘this’ again,” says Anna.
And finally, the main visual vector is the circus costume, which has always been the founder’s main reference point: “If you can be a Pierrot girl, then I think that’s me,” says Anna, reclining on a chair painted with a red and white checkerboard pattern. Hence the eponymous suit, with silk-covered buttons and a chest pocket. It was intended for a handkerchief – the stylist herself planned to embroider tears on it (but she didn’t have time for the launch): “A kind of theatrical thing to wipe your eyes with “Dowry”. The skirt is called Swan, of course, in honour of the Swan Princess, the ermine cape refers to the ermine, but on it you can also see the troubadour’s cape from The Bremen Town Musicians.
