According to the Primorye police, the driver of a PAZ bus, which was built in 1985, crossed a double continuous line and collided with a motorcyclist who was travelling in the opposite direction. As a result of the accident, a 19-year-old man died on the spot from his injuries.
The bus driver was tested for the presence of alcohol in his blood, and the initial result was negative. It is known that he has two years of experience driving buses.
The Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Vladivostok opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of traffic rules by a person driving a vehicle, resulting in the death of a person due to negligence”. The penalty includes imprisonment for up to five years.
