Federal project “School of Interethnic Journalism-2024” started accepting students – Rossiyskaya Gazeta

Date: September 20, 2024 Time: 01:21:28

The educational project, supported by Vladimir Putin, is carried out by the Federal Agency for Nationalities of Russia and the Interethnic Journalism Guild.

The classes are absolutely free.

They will be held in a hybrid format: in-person and online. For this reason, motivated young people between 18 and 30 years old from all regions of the country are invited to compete.

Among them are journalism students, active journalists and other young people interested in covering the topic of interethnic relations in the media and new media: historians, ethnographers, ethnoactivists, ethnobloggers, etc.

To participate in the project, you must send a motivation letter to school@nazaccent.ru by September 25 and also undergo an interview, either in person or online.

The program consists of two modules: regional and federal.

In the regional module, students will receive basic knowledge about interethnic journalism as an industry, the basics of state-national politics, federal and regional media, and learn how to work with interethnic issues in various journalistic formats.

In the federal module, which will be held in person in Moscow, students will listen to lectures by the country’s leading experts, attend an ethno-expedition, and take part in a hackathon and creative labs. The best students who can establish themselves, including on social networks, during the regional module will be admitted to this stage.

The best works will be published in leading Russian media, including Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

At the end of each stage, a certificate is issued.
