The former Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo estate complex in the north-west of Moscow has been abandoned since the 1980s, and the adjacent park has become one of the favourite places for Muscovites to relax and walk. In 2019, the park and estate were restored.

An individual project was developed to recreate the needle.

The restoration work is being supervised by the Moscow Department of Capital Repairs. The main house of the estate was restored first, and now it is the turn of the other buildings in the complex.

At one time, the Pokrovsky-Streshnevo estate, which also had the name Glebovo-Streshnevo, was located on an area of 220 hectares. In addition to the main house, there were baths, a menagerie and a huge greenhouse built in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

The five-meter spire that once adorned the main dome has now been returned to the roof of the Orangery. As Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported on his Telegram channel, an individual project has been developed to recreate the spire.

This part of the dome was manufactured in a special workshop and installed on site in several stages, as the weight of the structure exceeds 250 kilograms.

Please note that the greenhouse is the only building preserved in the park, except for the manor house. Its restoration is currently halfway complete.
