In the fourth round match in Moscow, CSKA and Krasnodar faced each other. The guests were confidently in the lead and if they won, the Muscovites could get closer to their opponents.
Krasnodar attacked more in the first half, but Marko Nikolic’s team opened the scoring. Milan Gayich punished Krasnodar for a defensive error.
After the break, the teams tried to change the score on the scoreboard, but in the final stages of their attacks they clearly lacked precision. Shortly before the final whistle, Matvey Kislyak scored the winning point for 2:0.
Krasnodar leads the group with nine points, CSKA is second with eight points.
In Group B, Rostov hosted Orenburg. Valery Karpin’s team made a mistake at first, but managed to win 3:1.
Among the winners were Egor Golenkov, Alexey Sutormin and Ronaldo. Jimmy Marin scored the visitors’ goal from a penalty.
Rostov is second in Group B with nine points. Orenburg is last. The team has not yet collected a single point.
