It seemed that the story of 41-year-old Alsou and 46-year-old Yan Abramov, who officially divorced in the Savelovsky court on August 27, had come to an end. But, apparently, everything is just beginning and there will be no peaceful outcome. Today it became known that Alsou filed a claim for the division of property in a British court. It is no secret that the singer has long had British citizenship.
Recall that earlier, Yan Abramov’s lawyer Alexander Dobrovinsky reported that the court hearing on the division of property was scheduled for October 7, but it concerned only real estate and assets in Russia. But the couple also has houses in the United States, Monaco, France and Cyprus. As well as that very apartment in London, located near the Lord’s Cricket Ground.
“It is obvious that in the current situation the London court will protect the interests of its citizen Alsou against the interests of the Russian citizen Yan Abramov. Look at the sanctions imposed on Roman Abramovich himself. I have been in contact with my colleagues in London all day and absolutely everyone says that the split will clearly spread to the whole world. The decision of the English court will, of course, be recognized in all hostile countries. All this is done to strip Ian naked. If we estimate the real estate, as well as the assets around the world that are subject to splitting, we can talk about 50-60 million dollars. And this is the beginning of a big war,” Alexander Dobrovinsky explained to KP.RU.
Abramov’s lawyer also pointed out that English law has some peculiarities and difficulties.
“The claim should be served directly on his hands. I think we have the same persecution ahead for poor Ian,” Alexander Andreevich told KP.RU.
It was previously reported that the property jointly acquired by Alsou and Yan Abramov is estimated at 10 billion rubles. It was for this amount that the singer’s lawyers filed a claim after the official divorce. Abramov tried to divide the property peacefully and offered his ex-wife 2.5 billion rubles and lifelong support, but she refused.
