This box is equipped with models of the Chery brand – crossovers Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro, sedan Arrizo 8, as well as models of the brands Exeed, Omoda and Jaecoo, Dongfeng Shine Max, with some technical differences – on Geely Coolray and Atlas, and therefore on BelGee. In other words, the “robot” is quite popular.
“Based on the experience of European cars, it can be predicted that a module of this design (clutch unit operating in an oil bath) will last 120-140 thousand kilometers, but with a well-written control program,” says the ZR Expert.
The advantage of the Chinese “robot” is that the friction rings can be replaced separately, thus saving on repairs. The main reason for repairs, according to the expert, is the rear axle bearings. They are of a closed type and do not have the highest precision class.
“In terms of design, Chinese 7DCT300/330 robotic boxes, in general, do not cause any particular concern and are at least not inferior to European ones, so if they are assembled from high-quality materials and have the right control programs, they will be able to travel at least 200-250 thousand kilometers before serious repair,” the expert concluded.
