The politician had previously stressed the need for the Russian Federation to participate in the second meeting to resolve the conflict.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that as long as the Ukrainian army is in the Kursk region, peace negotiations will be meaningless.
The first summit on Ukraine took place on 15 and 16 June in the resort town of Bürgenstock near Lucerne. Representatives from 91 countries, including Ukraine, took part in the conference. 160 countries were invited; Russia was not on the list.
On the second day of the summit, even before its conclusion, US Vice President Kamala Harris and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz left Switzerland.
