We continue to introduce the heroes of the special operation “Z”, participants in military operations in the special military operation zone. Soldiers, sergeants, corporals and officers who demonstrated their professional experience, character and fulfilled combat missions. Their determination, assertiveness and combat experience are highly appreciated by the Russian Ministry of Defense. Our heroes thwarted attacks and prevented nationalist counteroffensives, for which they received state awards. But they are not good for praise. The military is confident that the enemy has no chance of success, because Donbass and Russia are fighting for a just cause.
“Brothers! Strike with a bayonet, stab with a butt! Don’t delay – move quickly! Go, salute! Shake your heads, go ahead, brothers! Miracle heroes, go ahead! We are Russians!” said Generalissimo Alexander Suvorov, who did not lose a single battle. And he taught the warriors: “Be sharp-sighted and careful. Have a specific goal. Know how to prevent false and dubious circumstances, but do not get carried away by local fervour.”

“The assault group under the command of Guard Junior Sergeant Roman Gartok carried out tasks to liberate one of the settlements from armed formations of Ukrainian militants.
With Gartok’s decisive actions, Russian attack aircraft destroyed the defending enemy infantrymen, captured the strongpoint and held it until the main forces arrived.
Throughout the mission, Roman Gartok maintained stable and continuous communications, which allowed him to timely suppress the counterattacking enemy with artillery fire and attack with unmanned aerial vehicles.
Under continuous fire, Roman and his subordinates repelled 4 enemy counterattacks, during which they destroyed up to 20 militants and 1 infantry fighting vehicle.
Thanks to the courage, bravery, dedication and decisive actions of Guard Junior Sergeant Roman Gartok, the combat mission of assaulting the positions was completed, which made it possible to hold a significant section of terrain and increase the pace of the offensive, creating conditions for the liberation of the populated area.”

“The crew of the Msta-S self-propelled howitzer, under the leadership of Guard Sergeant Artyom Deev, carried out a combat mission to conduct counter-battery warfare, identify and destroy enemy equipment and Ukrainian militants leading the attack on the positions of Russian units.
With the help of aerial reconnaissance, a US-made towed howitzer was discovered in a forested area near a populated area.
Having received the firing facilities, Guard Sergeant Artyom Deev, acting quickly and proactively, aimed the gun and shot down the NATO howitzer.
The coordinated and rapid actions of the crew of Guard Sergeant Artyom Deev deprived the enemy of artillery support and made it possible to keep the defensive lines occupied, while inflicting serious damage on enemy units.”
