Avangard’s nightmare continues, Salavat eliminated Traktor in two minutes. KHL results of the day

“Lada” and “Ak Bars” had a shootout, “Spartak” retained the victory in Magnitogorsk.
Four games of the KHL regular season were played on September 25. Let’s summarize them.
The first half of the match was dominated by the Chelyabinsk team: the hosts failed to convert the penalty shoot-out and then scored twice thanks to the efforts of Alexander Kadeikin, who scored the first goal in Traktor’s jersey and the 100th and 101st in the KHL.
However, Benoit Grou’s players were disappointed by the discipline: halfway through the second half, their players committed two fouls in seven seconds, which is why Salavat punished their opponents with two goals. The Ufa team also converted the hosts’ next penalty, which came a minute after the second goal, and now the 0:2 for Viktor Kozlov’s team became 3:2 in just two minutes.
“Traktor” could not change the course of the match: at the beginning of the third twenty minutes, the Chelyabinsk team lost again and, despite a quick response, was unable to recover, which allowed the hockey players of “Salavat” to hit the target.

The reigning champions took some heart from their first two wins of the season, and started the game against Spartak with an early goal. However, the Red-Whites responded just as quickly with their accurate strike, levelling the teams’ strength until the middle of the second half.
It was then that Alexei Zhamnov’s team managed to conduct an attacking period: Orlov, Poryadin and Belyaev hit Metallurg’s goal three times in 10 minutes, forcing Andrei Razin to resort to substituting the goalkeeper; the MVP of the last Gagarin Cup, Ilya Nabokov, gave way to Nikita Podskrebalin in the back line.
The Steelworkers took heart after this move and did not allow the guests to score again until the end of the match. But they themselves did not score enough: goals from Vovchenko and Yurov were not even enough to send the game to overtime.

Ak Bars is slowly coming back to life under the guidance of Anvar Gatiyatulin: the Kazan team arrived in Tolyatti after three wins in a row, while their hosts Lada lost the last three matches. Things quickly moved towards a fourth defeat: the Tatarstan club opened the scoring in the third minute and increased the lead towards the middle of the second half.
But Oleg Bratash’s team was in no mood to give up. Josephs immediately reduced the gap to a minimum, and Popugaev and Nekolenko made it possible for the Togliatti team to go into the second break with a 3:2 lead at the end of 40 minutes of play.
However, the guests’ class still took its toll: first Marchenko and then Koshelev returned Lada to the status of a winning team, and the hosts never got rid of this status.

Avangard came to Yaroslavl after five straight losses. It was difficult to count on breaking the series today, because they were facing the league leader. Although the Hawks opened the scoring, Alexey Makeev scored on the power play for the second game in a row.
Lokomotiv recovered even before the break, taking advantage of their numerical advantage and by the halfway point they were two goals ahead of their opponents, which put the Omsk team on the brink of continuing their disastrous run.
The second half of the match started with another Avangard goal in the power play, which certainly cheered up the visiting fans. But then there was a long pause, which lasted until the final siren: in this match neither team scored again. 3:2 – the nightmare continues for Omsk.
