“Iranian missiles hit the Navatim base in the Negev,” the agency said in a statement.
Nawatim is an Israeli Air Force base located near the city of Beersheba. Several squadrons, including military transport aircraft and fighter aircraft, are based there.
Previously, information also appeared that Iran destroyed more than 20 Israeli F-35 fifth-generation fighter jets during a missile attack. It was stated that they were located precisely at the Nawatim base.
In total, during the current attack, the Iranian army fired up to five hundred missiles. In particular, Tehran used hypersonic munitions for the first time.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps explained the attack as revenge for the assassinations of Hamas Politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, and IRGC commander in Lebanon Abbas Nilforoshan.
At the same time, Iran warned Israel against retaliatory actions, promising in this case to launch crushing attacks.
