The budget also provides for the financing of other important social expenses. In particular, it was decided to spend 62 billion rubles to provide residents with free or reduced-price medicines, medical supplies and medical nutrition.
“City residents suffering from cancer, cardiovascular, rare and life-threatening (orphan) diseases, diabetes, bronchial asthma and other ailments will fully receive the most modern and effective medicines,” the mayor’s office highlighted.
Free travel for some beneficiaries on public transport in Moscow and the Moscow region, including commuter trains, will also be maintained. And all passengers will continue to have access to free transfers between the MCD and the metro. In total, 186 billion rubles have been allocated for all these purposes.
At the same time, the purchase of new subway cars, electric buses and other rolling stock will continue.
