The cast for the third season of Ryan Murphy’s crime anthology “Monster” has been announced. The new series, which will premiere on the Netflix streaming service, will tell about the maniac Ed Gein. Variety writes about this.
The main role will be played by Charlie Hunnam. The cast also includes Laurie Metcalf, Tom Hollander and Olivia Williams. Metcalf will play Augusta, the murderer’s mother, Hollander will play director Alfred Hitchcock and Williams will play his wife Alma Reville. Gein served as one of the inspirations for Hitchcock’s film Psycho and its hero Norman Bates.
The new part of the anthology will be called “The Original Monster.” Filming will begin this month. The director’s chair will be occupied by Max Winkler. The first season of the show revealed the story of Jeffrey Dahmer, and the second, the fate of the Menéndez brothers.
FX previously shared the first teaser for Ryan Murphy’s American Sports Story. We talk in more detail here.
