To kindergarten no. 152 of Tver assist children with various types of mental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. After reports of mistreatment of her students appeared, the situation was brought under control by the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the Tver region, Larisa Mosolygina.
He visited the nursery and participated in a teaching staff meeting. The Commissioner’s position is clear: no physical or psychological violence against children is acceptable.
According to the Children’s Ombudsman’s Office, after an internal inspection, the special education teacher who used physical force against the child was fired from the kindergarten. The director of the institution and the group’s teachers were subjected to disciplinary responsibility. The group and the institution as a whole function normally.
During the inspection, the commissioner identified problems in the work of the daycare: an excess of children in groups, a lack of specialists, a lack of clear work with students with various developmental disorders and nosologies who are in the same group. In this regard, a series of operational meetings were held and recommendations were given on the organization of the activities of the preschool institution.
The situation will remain under the control of Larisa Mosolygina until it is completely resolved. The Commissioner is in contact with parents of kindergarten students.
