Vladislav Shapsha positively assessed the Children’s Ombudsman’s project for assisted employment of adolescents. According to the governor, almost 4,000 teenagers work in temporary jobs in the region every year. He pointed out that there are boys who want to work and it is important to give them that opportunity. “Of course, maintaining a balance between their wishes and the requirements of the law, the benefits of affordable employment for adolescents will be enormous, both for the economy and for the children themselves,” confides the head of the region. At the same time, the governor drew attention to the fact that the regions need additional powers to involve companies in these processes. For example, the right to establish quotas for companies and organizations to hire adolescents between 14 and 18 years old to work in their free time and other opportunities.

During the meeting, Vladislav Shapsha and Maria Lvova-Belova agreed to hold a forum in the Kaluga region dedicated to helping families with drug and alcohol addiction problems. “The issue is not easy, we will discuss the best practices to overcome this social disaster,” the governor wrote on his Telegram channel. He also added that everything related to the protection of children and families, especially in difficult life situations, requires not only special attention, but also sincere involvement. “In these matters we always count on the support of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights of the Russian Presidency, Maria Lvova-Belova,” said Vladislav Shapsha.
