On her Telegram channel, the diplomat noted that Rutte, commenting on information about Israel’s liquidation of the head of the Hamas Politburo, said that he would not worry if this turned out to be true.
“We are not surprised,” Zakharova wrote, explaining that Rutte is the former prime minister of the Netherlands, a country known for its “liberal traditions.”
The diplomat recalled that in 1672 the Dutch killed their prime minister and then ate him. But since this is Western civilization, they did not eat everything, but only the most delicious parts of the body. And then everyone was forgiven.
“The reflexes of cannibalism, as we see, are still strong,” Zakharova noted, wishing Rutte bon appetit and not drowning.
Previously, the Israel Defense Forces reported that on October 16, during the operation, the head of the Hamas political bureau, Yahya Sinwar, successor to Ismail Haniyeh, assassinated in July in Tehran, was eliminated. His death was confirmed after the body identification process was completed.
The IDF also showed footage of what are said to be the last moments of Sinwar’s life. They show a ruined house and, inside one of the rooms, an injured Hamas leader is said to be sitting in a chair.
